First time seing one in person. Probably less than 3" Beautiful fish....but the adults aren't so pretty. The orange gets kinda dull.
wish they weren't so expensive and aggressive.

anyone keeping these guys? what's your experience w/them?

I used to keep one. Very pretty as a juvenile, less so as an adult. Eats well, aggressive towards other angels. Tough fish.

liar!!! jk, how can you think the adult is prettier?!

it's a very bold fish. when i put my face up to the tank....just swam up to me and stared.

lol its true.. i tried to take a pic by my phone camera sucks...

the orange was so bright on the adult you could see if from across the room...

where did you see these "bright orange" adults???
i need proof. Maybe i'll just buy an adult and paint it like a juvi.

I've seen fully, fully grown adults at the Monterey Bay Aquarium many years ago. Very large. The back half does in fact get kind of muddy orange, with only the front end staying brighter. I thought the garibaldis were prettier :o

yeah i saw about 4 adults but only the juvi looked cool. but in captivity i figure it'll take a while for it to change to adult colors.

Yeah, that's what I remember for adults:

Bold is an understatement. They are nasty sobs when they reach maturity. I think they are beauties as adults. Usually rare, expensive fish are delicate. Not the case with these guys. One of the hardiest angels you can get. Tim
