Patience Patience is what I keep telling myself as the Monti eating Nudis are reaking havoc with my tanks. The have eaten a grape montipora a couple orange Didis and are working on a setosa right now. I pluck them when I see them and tray and photograph them but the are small and hard to see. The best way to get rid of them I have come to understand is just let them do their thing and then let them starve so that is my plan.
I guss I am Happy?? that my Montis aren't larger and I think they are neat creaturs to check out even though they really suck!!!:uzi:

Here is the best photo I could get so far. I took a piece of dying Digi out and set it in a wine glass and found a Nudi and let him do his thing. They are very good at doing what they do. Remember this is a big one and he was only about half of a half the size of a small grain of rice.

Neat pic Craig. From a technical standpoint, it would be ideal if the focal plane were slightly more forward, but you probably know that.

If in your mind, all your montis are doomed, have you considered removing all of them at once to hasten the demise of these little killers?

O.K

I am getting reprimanded by a guy with flying underware as an avatar and who just opened a "spa" :)

Ken these guys are tiny so the way I took it was through a wine glass bottom it was the best I could do for now. I plan on trying again.

Amazing thing I took that photo last Friday and I was cleaning my kitchen and noticed the glass still sitting on the counter. I checked on it and the digi was alive and well although getting eaten bt the healthy Nudibranchs!! Just sunlight from my kitchen window. Here I worry about flow and lighting and temp and if they are all happy in the tank and a couple things survive 5 days in a wine glass. Makes you pretty amazed at the survivability of these organisms.

Ken on one hand I thought about taking all my montis out and starting the process but I still have hope that my wrasse or something else will win out. Plus they haven't touched my sunsets yet so it is kind of like a 55g experiment tank now. It will be interesting to see if they get desperate at the end and go after other things too. Of course I want to get a better photo as I haven't seen to many good shots on the internet yet. My foam will have it's 2 montis eaten soon so that will be done sooner.
