Saying goodbye is so hard to do...:(

As some of you know, I have decided to leave the hobby. Over the past 10-12 years of reefkeeping, I have had the privilege of going to new places and meeting new people. I have dedicated a good portion of my life to these wonderful animals and in turn, they have provided me with countless hours of enjoyment. I do not know if I can ever come back to this wonderful hobby as I do not want to go through "the end" again. The end is truly painful:( I am grateful for the people who I have met and the individuals who I now consider my friends. Namely Karl, Tim, Jesus, James, Rommell, Alex, Tubs, and others. You guys have been wonderful throughout the years and my door is always open to any one of you. So I end with this final thought...You, my friends, are what made reefkeeping so special. God bless each and every one of you.

Maximus,

Yuo will indeed be missed...Good luck and hope you made the right decision. This hobby of ours is hard to let go because it becomes a lifestyle. It becomes a routine....the first thing I do before I leave work is to check the tank and equipments and after I get home from work I enjoy watching the tank, feed my fish and "troubleshoot" my equipments and look for reasons to upgrade.
I hope you can sometime chime in here in RC once in a while because your experience in this hobby is very valuable to many reefers. Your guidance is very much appreaciated.
Take care and gl.

It's with a heavy heart, Sang, but congratulations. You're able to step away unscathed, always able to look back with pride and satisfaction. Enjoy moving on to new and interesting activities, my friend.

Sang, sometimes you just need a break, I understand. You will be greatly missed, but not for long. You can never quit completely. Once a reefer always a reefer. Good luck to you K-bro.

sang, its been great hangin out and getting to know you. you and your family are always welcome to stop by.

ps. you know my attitude towards my reef (at this time in my life) and i may follow ur lead...

Ahhhhhh man Sang,

Now you? You just gonna take a break for a while...think you'll be back? I hope to get back into it in about a year or two. You know how it is...just something about all the colors, comradery and tanquility (when everything is going well) of reefing. You'll be missed.

Tim....don't you dare!

Thanks for the kind words, guys and gals. I really dont know if I will be back. I'd like to think that it is possible, but not likely.

sang, sux to see u leave as well. another vet leaves the hobby. u will enjoy the downtime and not miss out on worrying bout your tank crashing...there will always be a next time.

how much u wanna bet lap? for me it'll be at least 3 years when i start to think about setting up a reef. i may help out friends to set up their reefs but as far as my own that will be a long time.

i think you misphrased your statement. it should be:
Reefing is like your first love. It's alway on your mind.U never forget BUT YOU KNOW ITS IN YOUR BEST TO NOT GO BACK.
