Saying hello and introducing my reef.....

great tank...I see you are from Staten Island, do you go to Animal Kingdom on Amboy Rd and Richmond for your stuff? I am planning on upgrading my FO to a reef and they have a great selection. I have been going there for a long time and they seem to do a great job with fish. Looking for some feedback on how they are with corals and $$ for equipment, lighting etc. Or will I be better off purchasing equipment online.

1st thanks guys for the compliments.. it means alot comming from you all..

thekidace do yourself a favor and visit Reef Fantasies on victory and crossroad is manor... they have a great selection of stuff and are great to there customers.. bill is the father and chris is the son.. both great guys always hooked me up on livestock...(fish)

for equipment see if you can get used or order online... DO NOT BUY EQUIPMENT FROM A LFS it will cost you a fortune.... u can find many great deals online for equipment.... pm me we could talk more....

very smart going wit 100lbs.. i actually dont have any problems with heat i have 2 fans that both push in air and a big hood for air circulation.. im changing the 2 fans (computer fans) to toyo fans very strong so i dont forsee any problem and no chiller needed and adding another 2 up top one pushing air up out of the hood and the other pushing air in the hood.. just incase one of the other 2 every fail...... also the setup is in my basement which is always pretty cold.. when the lights are off the temp is about 77-79 when the lights are on its about 77-80 say i would have to say around 79.....

you could do 2 fans one blowing in and one blowing out.....

That is a really awsome tank. I love the way your aquascape is. Looks wonderful. By the way, welcome to reef central. Enjoy your stay.

Nice looking tank. I used to dislike BB tanks, but they're starting to grow on me.

I'll have you to blame when I waste a weekend sucking all the sand out of my tank. Thanks a lot!

your very welcome.... lmao... just becareful when sucking up that sand cause u might be letting the toxins out of the sand into the water column depending on how long that sand has been down there...
