Yes, it would be just fine on a 20. The pump has a lot of adjustability. I'd say get it and use it, get familiar with it. By the time you move over to your 50, you'll have a better understanding of the pump and how you want to use it.
Have you played with this pump personally? I'm waiting for a buddy to figure out what he wants so I can make 1 order and get better shipping... plus I get the reward points lol

Yes sir, have one running on my 50. Great pump, has it's pros and cons but it's growing on me.
I'm really intrigued by the Aqamai KPS as well. I may pick one up to replace my Tunze on the other side.

Do you mind sharing the pros and cons? At a glance it seems like a really cool system, I like the fact it has an app that you can nearly have full control of.

Hello all! I want to build a shelf above the tank that will match the stand. I have the plywood black stand. Any idea what paint/wood stain/color I should use to match the shelf with the stand??

Doubt they have that many blacks and benefit of stain is you can go light at first and add more to deepen the color as needed to find your match.

Depending on lighting in the room though there is a good chance you wont notice subtle hue differences in the black. Its like having black surround sound speakers, entertainment stand, and flat panel tv all being slightly off of one another but most dont pay attention to it.

You are right. So I will stop by Home Depot and pick up some samples and compare. Should be able I get something that look comparable.

Thanks

remember to hold the samples up where you are going to have the unit and not against the stand so you can account for lighting affecting the hues

Just to be clear, I'm referring to the MP10

It's quiet
Doesn't take up much room or protrude out into the tank, really cant even see it against the black back on my tank
no wires in the tank
great flow, gentle and wide flow pattern

Can't angle it across the tank
Magnet doesn't hold well, the dry side required that the wire be secured above it to prevent it from falling
Dry side gets really hot when using any of the pulse modes, hotter than I'm comfortable letting it run
Wireless model is a touch deceiving, still required an additional module to control it with an app.
I'd like the ability to program it to change between modes throughout the day and ramp up and down. This may be possible with the module and app, haven't looked. This is also something that really intrigues me about the Aqamai.
Cost. Great pump, however it seems a bit expensive for what it is. Time will tell if I change on this stance.

Thank you for this. I was thinking you had already gotten the aqamai. I think I'm going to order one on my next order.

Looking to get a 50 gallon cube from Steve. What options have y'all come up with for an ATO? I would really like the reservoir to be under stand if possible.

I have an ATO and I really think it is working out great so far. Look me up and you'll see the pics of it.

Hi,

I spoke with SC today about 120 eurobrace tank. I have a New Reef Synergy Shadow overflow here at home. Steve said he would remove his overflow, seal the holes on the bottom of the tank and I would have to drill by own holes for the Shadow and return holes:

I'm not sure I'm too thrilled about getting a new tank with patched holes. I was a little surprised that was suggested, but I'm no tank builder. It would be the same price, $899.

Your thought?
