Is anybody keeping the Scaleless shrimpgoby, Tomiyamichthys nudus? They are wonderful little fish. I am especially keen to know if you have one paired with a pistol shrimp as I can't find out what species they naturally pair with in the wild. There's not much information out there regarding this species.

Thanks, they are really lovely.

Surely I can't be the only one keeping these gorgeous fish?

Fishbase says "often solitary or shares sandy burrow with alpheid shrimp." It doesn't list name the specific species. It gives Gerald Allen's 'Reef Fishes of the East Indies' as a reference, so if you could look at a copy of that... or find out which pistol shrimp reside in its range (Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei).

I can't say that I've ever seen one for sale here in the US. Online or in my local fish store.

Really? I didn't realise that. Admittedly they are small fish and probably generally overlooked but they are very interesting to watch and beautifully marked. The sailfin is really amazing with the splash of blue.

Yes I found that reference too and wanted to purchase the book but it's eyewateringly expensive. :fun5: There are three volumes and they do look fabulous perhaps one day when I have won the lottery... lol!
