Scare of my life

Whistler's Mother
Yesterday, I was attempting to adjust the bubble height in my HOB skimmer after doing a water change. It has a fitting on the return for the skimmer which is what adjusts the heighth, so you have to put your hand in the tank to do so.

I wasn't paying attention to where she was as I was trying to do this, so suddenly I felt about 100 little things grabbing onto my fingers. It was her. Low and behold, she swam up and latched onto my hand (but didn't smash at my hand luckily).

I started screaming and my boyfriend comes running up to figure out what was going on.

Wow.... it still gives me the heeby jeebies just thinking about it.

:lol2: Thats not that bad because the other day I was adjusting the rock work during a watter change and low and behold I wasn't paying attention and Shushi(my N. Wennerae) didn't like me in her tank she zoomed up and smacked me good. She is small so all it did was scare that CRAP OUT OF ME:eek2: I have been very careful since.

Ive been whacked more than once by my G. smithii... doesnt hurt, but i still pull my hand out of the tank pretty fast. Im just thankful he's only clubbed me so far... I dont feel like getting stabbed.

Ehhh mine scares me. She's a 5-6" Peacock, so I'm sure she packs a whollop. It was definitely a creepy feeling having all those appendages grab onto my hand.

I have to keep my eye on Libby. She is a Peacock also & a real mean one. Hits whatever I put in her tank. I get help to watch her while I'm in the tank with her.
