Reggie is telling you the truth srberry. You don't want to add a whole bunch of crabs to a tank which hasn't been running for a couple of months. Can you add one or two, or maybe even more if your lucky? Of course you may have luck, but is that responsible reefing when it comes to the animals, No. You mention about not knowing that the crabs could live in a tank, and believing curtis about the crabs not being able to travel and go into a new tank, well the bottom line here is that if it was your understanding that the crabs came with the tank you should have already researched the crabs and shrimp to see what their requirements were before going to pick them up. Now I'm not getting onto you because you are new, and this is the thing we ALL do as newbies which is not doing the proper research. I really think you may be turning this is into an issue which should be handled privately (if at all). The people on this forum care about the hobby, that's why wer'e here. If you ever need anywhere to take some of your coral or fish in an emergency, the people on this forum willbe their to help. If you have a fish get sick, and you don't know what to do, the people here will always try to help. The friends you can make if you plan to stay in this hobby are invaluable when compared to a small amount of clean up crew. I think on this one you could learn a lot of things by dropping the issue, and learning a little bit before you argue more.
Srberry, here's the thing. Whenever you move a tank or do a big change (especially during shipping), no matter how established the tank is, it will have to perform a re-cycle due to the amount of organisms that have probably died due to the move and air exposure. The best thing to do is measure amonia and nitrite. This will surely show where you are in the cycle.
Now with regards to your clean-up crew, you should have waited a bit before getting some more of them. You shouldn't have bought more of them immediately since a lot of us here are willing to help and could have given you some when the time is right. That's what the hobby and this group is all about.
No need to be hostile. We help each other here.
