schooling chromis

The above pic is what I feed on an average evening.
The mussels, squid and prawns are cut into small pieces.

A group of chromis can be done. I had a group of 5 for three years or more that grew from tiny dudes to great big lunkers. They started out in a 35 hex, got moved to a 125 for several months and then eventually landed in a 110 where they lived until I tried rice as a means of carbon dosing. The rice caused a bacterial bloom that killed most of the fish in my tank. Moral = chromis in groups is very achievable with plenty of food. I also believe strong current helps to keep them more occupied.

Just remember, if they are a success, they get pretty big, especially when you're thinking of 10-12 of them.
