Schooling fish

I'm looking for options regarding smaller schooling fish for a 100 gallon. I've had chromis, and liked them, but i'm looking for different options. I prefer fish that stay small. Thanks in advance.

I like anthias, but i'm looking for something a little smaller that schools tightly. Maybe i'm going back to my fresh water days and tetras, but i love that look. I'm currently going through some older posts, just looking to see if anyone has any ideas. Thx .

cardinal fish are good schoolers.

I guess my options are pretty much chromis which will all eventually kill each other off, Anthias which are pretty, but to big, and won't school as well without some type of aggressive fish to keep them on their toes, or cardinals, which i just don't find all that attractive, but they do school nicely. any other ideas?

how about the Threadfin cardinal? they are small...white with Blue eyes and accents...Ive seen then in a school of about 10-15 and looks really nice...

Hmm...you like freshwater tetras, but not cardinalfish. Cardinalfish are the tetras of the sea!

If you're looking for something really different, shrimpfish are very cool schoolers.

Shrimp fish are very cool...but also very hard to keep alive. They are closer to sea horses. They almost NEVER take anything but live foods..There was a LFS here in SOFL that had a school in a 400G "living reef" that was over 6 years old with very few other fish and they all slowly died only lasting about 6 months. so if you do try these guys becareful!

I'm leaning towards the threadfin cardinals. Although, those shrimpfish look super cool.
