What should I do to fix my scoly? I'm starting to see the skeleton.
Parameters all 11.4 CA 389 mg 1500
Salinity 1.0028 (high). I think it went up when I raised the Mg a month ago to combat the algae. System is two 120s combined with a 60 gallon sump. One 120 is LPS and the other is SPS. All other corals are doing fine.
Feed the corals twice a week. No nitrites nitrates, or ammonia,

I have. Haven't in about 2 months. Gave it some shrimp pellets the other day. I Think it got some but the shrimps always raid it. Haven't really seen the tentacles out. If I do I'll feed it a cube of mysis. Those pics are at 11pm est and no tentacles which I think is weird

Scolys are pretty resilient, but you must feed it when its tentacles are out. Yours looks good for the most part. No damage around the mouth and it's pretty puffed up. Keep the water clean and parameters good and make sure to feed it. You should see improvement in one week.

What light levels do they need. Low light?

Start out with low light but could be gradually move to med light. Here are mine.

Scolys that are 1 to 3 months new, under kessel 150w, about 24" beneath the light.

Scolys that have been with me for 1.5+ years, under the same light but just about 12" beneath the light.

I have a noticeable difference in the coloration and overall health of my Scoly ever since I started feeding it LPS pellets from Fauna Marin.

Take a coke bottle, cut it up, place it over the mouth at night when it's tentacles are out, drop some pellets in, and close it up until it's done feeding. It keeps my shrimp from raiding the food, and let's it eat in peace.

+1 to the coke bottle, my Acans were not making much growth process in the first 3 months I had them, began using the bottle method vs just target feeding, I cut holes in mine so there was flow to keep things suspended a little. I can tell you over the last 5months growth is double what it was the first 3. It is not unusual to see it close up eat reopen and grab another piece floating in the bottle.

Thanks guys for all the help. Scoly is healing and I most Definitely need to do the coke bottle trick. To many inverts

Nice scoly, glad it's improving. You don't want that skeleton part to increase in size. I've reversed these I the past. As noted, feed it. IMO thawed mysis, shrimp, krill or any natural & preferably saltwater food is best. A mix pack like RF is good. Sometimes it takes a few hours after lights off for the scoly to wake up &'expend the tentacles.

I think i saw some algae in the pics - I'd clean that up as it can irritate the scoly. I was also wondering about your flow in that location. They appreciate a gentle but steady flow. Occasional surges by a variable flow powerhead is ideal if you have one. I've seen them start to rot in slack flow on a sand bed. And yes keep their distance from anything that can sting. GL.
