I forgot to ask about it last night on my previous thread on the Cynarina Lacrymalis anyway I have been looking at this scolymia at the lfs store for awhile.Would really like to have it but he want a good price for it $99.00. I don't mind it if they are easy to keep but if they are touchy I am skepitcal. The store owner says they are a little less hardy then a tracyaphillia which I have one that is doing great other web sites says they are low-maintaeince. Good christmas present or not?

My scoly has been fine, but I did have problems with a trachy. My scoly took only a day or two to be fully extended, and showed a strong feeding response from early on in my tank.

I feed mine once or twice a week, and I think that helps. I don't know if you are willing to target feed or not.

I really love my scoly, btw.

I target feed my Trachy every week and enjoy feeding it so I know the Scoly would be fun too, thinking really hard on getting this one.

I think I paid $60 or $70 for mine. It was about 6" across.

This is what mine does when I feed it a piece of krill or squid:
