My scolymia that I recently purchased is not looking good. I mean it's not bad but I worry. The scolymias feeder tenticles are not inflated. They still come out at night bot look kinda deflated. I searched a video on YouTube and the tenticles were really big and inflated like they were fat. Any advice would be great.

Where do you have it in your tank? If it's on rocks then they can cut the flesh and prevent it from opening fully. They're very sensitive to high light, so basically if you have it anywhere but on the sandbed not directly under a light then that's probably the issue.

I have it in a shaded are on the sand bed it is looking Breyer and adjusting it might be that I just recently purchased it and it's just adjust to it's environment.

+1^ Organism. If it's showing feeding behavior, you will probably be fine. Are you feeding it? You should.

Take your time and move him around in your tank until you find a spot he likes
Mine like a low flow area in the sand with lots of light. I feed them reef frenzy once a week.

The scolymia doesn't show feeding tenticals anymore now it just opens its mouth wide when I feed him. Only concern is that I went on vaca for 3 days came back and flesh is receding I put in more light and I will see what happens because it was in shady area and when I bought it it was in strong light hopefully it will get better.
