Thanks to this gnarly little slime ball all of my hair algae is gone! And there are a few mysterious chunks taken out of my xenias!
Now he's bagged up and off to his next mission.

Hope not, It's In my tank! It's a sea hare that Is great for mowing down Algae, I'm hoping It will attack this red turf stuff I have growing In my tank. If not It will be avaiable for another mission!

Hey guys are these hard to find? I would love to get one. What is the smallest tank you can put them in. Do they sell juvi size, that one looks big!!!

Bill,

When I had a sea hare, IF I remembered right, it didn't bother with red turf algae. What helped me with red turf was turbo snails. Petco had them on sale for 99 cents each. Or you can get them at Fins or Critters at @ $2.99/ea. Those snails clean like no tomorrow, they even clean up my sandbed too!!! Just watch for anything loose cause they will bull doze them off your rocks or knock things over in the sandbed. If that sea hare doesn't work for you, let it come to my tank. I've got some hair algae growing in the back of the tank where my tangs can't reach. By the way, don't over buy those snails! Depending on your problem, if it's not really bad, I would just buy like 5 of those snails. You watch them mow BIG patches of algae down to nothing!!!! Some will survive some won't. I had some that's survived for me for a long time and growing. Most will die unfortunately since they are more of a cold water snail.

Which turbo are you talking about specifically, Michael? There seem to be about 5 or 6 species that are all called turbo snails of one variety or another. :)
