Scraped face

Hi..

What can I do if I noticed that an emperor angel and a tang have their face scraped?¿

I dont have pics.. but I hope somebody knows about this and can help me.. please.

Try searching for HLLE on Google images and see if any of the pictures look like your fish.

Hi Jhemdal...

Searching under HLLE I found some specialty cases or disseases... and looks like the fishes have head erosion... something similar when the fishes presents lateral line erosion but this ones only in the head... and they looks healthy but the erosion/scraped face still in...

They looks like this pic I found in 3reef.com but only in the head...

In this case.. what can I do with?¿ or if I need to medicate them.. what and how I can do that?¿

Gen21,

There is no medication for this problem, it is presumed to be caused by environmental conditions; diet, water quality, and carbon dust being the most commonly cited.
The vast majority of complete cures that have reported included moving the affected fish to an aquarium that has had no history of HLLE. Here is a link to a survey I took regarding current thoughts that people have about causes of HLLE:

Thanks for the link!!! it really helps me a lot.. because this fishes looks like the chevron tang pic...

I'll check what kind of enviromental condition is the problem in the tank... but Im sure that diet and quality water aren't the problem (Ocean nutrition is used and parameters are into the "low" ranges) maybe a problem with the temperature or something similar..
