screeching noise from transformer

I have two tunze 6000 streams running on the 7094 multicontroller. There is a high pitch noise coming from the transformer feeding the older pump and it won't stop no matter what I do. It's the first time I heard something like this and I'm wondering what the cause is.

Any ideas?

The prop is jammed, you need to clean the pump. Follow the full dissassembly and cleaning procedures in the manual and just clean with vinegar to remove all lime deposits. Unplug it immediately until you can get to it. The only other possibility is a cracked magnet.

Thanks Roger, I'll dissassemble the pump today and see what's wrong. It's the first time I heard that noise so I was quite surprised.

Yeah, they have a safety alarm if they get stuck.
