Screw in PC bulbs?

Do they make a screw in Power Compact bulb? I'm thinking that I might build a hood for my 10 gallon and install a light socket into it if I can find what I'm looking for in the way of a light for my HOB refugium.

yeap they make some low wattage ones. They have a 6700k one you can get at lowes maybe walmart.

yeap there are several people using them. Work pretty good.

Depending on the light setup you are going to run on the main tank, you might not have to run on over the hob fuge. You might get enough light from your main source to light the fuge.

If you are going to run a a light over the fuge, you might want to check out the little clip on lights that they use on the pico tanks. The screw in PC 6500k bulbs are going to be bulky and they do put off some heat. You will evap more with that stlye of bulb depending on your set up, and in a 10g it will be hard enough to keep up on evap unless you add an auto top off on it.
