Scuba gear help

That looks like a decent package. I would really recommend at least buying your regulator through a trusted local dive shop though. I really like Zeagle regulators. There maintenance program and customer service are top notch. I use the 50D. It is an affordable work horse. Remember... your regulator IS your life source. A small savings on line will not matter one bit at 130 fsw when it fails I assure you!
PS I am not a dive shop owner, just a safe diver.

Thanks. I did research the genesis reg in one of their packages, the s2000 or something. It seems to be the best they sell. I just didn't know the reputability of that brand.

Genisis is considered a decent brand. The computer in that package I have used and like. However, virginiadiver69 makes a valid point about buying the regulators from a local shop vs online. The dive manufacturers have kept things very tight in terms of supply lines and warranties. Reg's are only available online (mail order) as gray market, this means no manufacturer warranty only the warranty from the online retailer. Now leisurepro has been around awhile and will probably be for awhile longer, but still, if you need warranty service you will have to send it to them because you won't be able to get warranty service from a dive shop even if they are a Genisis dealer.

Good to know. Thanks guys. I won't be buying for a while, but I am beginning to seriously shop around. Please stay posted if you don't mind, as I'm likely to have a few more questions :)

Thanks again.
