SCWD Wavemaker

Does anyone have any experience with the SCWD Wavemaker? I was thinking of doing a closed loop with one......

They rarely work for long. It is a total waste of money as far as I have ever read. Save your money.

Ditto SCWD's are not worth the plastic they are made from. I hd 2 of them, they didn't last 5 months each.

SCWD's arnt really for a high pressure system like a closed loop where you are trying to push hundreds of gallons of water thru them. so when you do they wear out very quickly and stop going back and forth after 3-7 months. Not a good idea, but a closed loop is. what tank are you planning a closed loop for??

i would just do a closed loop without the SQWD. when i get a new tank i will be doing a closed loop like that without the SQWD. it is nice because you dont have the power heads cluttering up the display.

hummm, not sure if i would spend 100 bucks on something that didnt work the first time they made it. not to say it wont work but i would be sceptical, esp if you had an old one that didnt work well.
