SE vs DE?

So I might be trading my 250w SE with a 14k SPS bulb set up for a 400w DE with a 20k bulb set up.

Is this a good deal? What are some downsides besides more heat? If I'm going to use a 20k bulb, but I'm upgrading to a 400wt, will I lose PAR rating? Or will I have more? Will growth be the same in my SPS? Or Better? (With near perfect parameters).



Please LMK if I should do this or not!

I would say with a 400w MH you would get more PAR.

Thanks! But the reflectors on the pendants are smaller.. so it would probably cover a much smaller area as I only keep the light 4" above the water.
