Previous thread, not care, but
lifespan,
same,
fed blend,
more.
I have 2 (big and small) for 10 months or so. Alive and active, not shrinking. Feed several times a day, both phyto- and zooplankton and enriched powdered fry fish food, SS type of live rotifers, enriched by Shellfish Diet algae. Trying to be on the safe side. Whatever they need, prefer to add unnecessary, than miss absolutely necessary.
Hikari Forst Bites (~50 micron size, at my knowledge), ZoPlan, a little of decapsulated brine shrimp eggs and dried Cyclop eeze. Phytoplankton: first cuke closed for a month after I tried to feed it DT Premium Reef Blend, feather star and corals were OK, stopped. Mostly ESV dried phytoplankton, later - Shellfish Diet, later - in turns with PhytoPlan and MicroVert. Aminoacids and vitamins time from time, Reef Plus or Coral Vital.
Tank has a lot of mysids, hopefully they are helping with cleaning.
Sea apples are sensitive to flow, had to set flow, brushing tentacles at the side, but not directed on the body.
Protect heaters and intakes, preferably no fish, that could nibble cuke tentacles.
It open, when eating, and licks tentacles. This allows watch for necessary frequency of adding food. I was very worried about amount of food, necessary to keep 6" cuke alive. Now just adding as much as reasonable possible, keeping food density not too high.
Mine react on people, passing around, by closing - unlike the pink-green filter feeding cucumber, who didn't care.
