sea cabbage

I need to generate some fund for my LED of the 45cube. Does anyone know any online retailers selling this? I just need to get a general ideas how should I price this one out for the entire colony.

That particular one I've not see for sale. You would get a lot more selling individual frags than the whole colony. You could probably sell a 3-4" frag for $20. I'd buy a frag :) It's always tough with macroalgae, finding a proper price since so few people sell it and many can't buy because their fish would eat it.

Very good to know. Just by eye-balling, I could get 15-20 4" petals. This particular algae is different. I had it in my 120 display with 3 tangs and they never once came close.

Link isn't working. That's a really neat macro though! Going to have to find a frag of it somewhere.

In the google search for Halymenia Floridana, I came up with this.

I would definitely take a frag. Let me know when you decide to do this.

Some tangs don't recognize algae like that as food, most will though. Foxface/rabbitfish as well, along with other herbivores/some omnivores. Also some inverts like larger turbo snails and emerald crabs. Can also depend on how much other food is available for everything, but its always a risk. Sometimes you get lucky and they leave it alone, sometimes they'll never touch it, sometimes they'll ignore it until they devour it in a day...I've seen all cases.

Isn't that the macro that lareefs sells as rose macro? I had some in my pico at work bit it eventually died for some reason when I began using leds.
