Tried reading up on behaviors but have not been able to find much info. Do they stay in 1 spot for days or is something wrong with them. The first 2 days after the package arrived they moved around but not since. I've read about them being toxic if dying so if anyone can share any info. on them great.

They can stay in one spot for weeks!

I don't think the ones that come with TBS are dangerous if they die. I don't believe those type release the deadly toxins.

I have the 50 gal. package which came with two cukes. They climbed back into the rock work almost immediately and pretty much parked with maybe a little shift in position every day or two. About two to three weeks later, one of them disappeared; no mess or indication of anything happening to it and no noticable effect on the tank. I can only assume it died and was consumed by the serpent stars and other clean up crew.
The other cuke was pretty much inactive or minimally active for about a month before it started roaming the sand. It hasn't stopped since and continues to make a complete round of the substrate a couple times a week. HTH

well - mine has been in the tank for a few weeks and suddenly just puked out it's digestive tract. At least, that's what I think it did. Sure the heck scared the heck out of my daughter.

I doubt the cuke will survive. I don't plan on getting another to replace this one.

Ewwwww!!!!!:eek2:

i pulled it because based on what i read on advancedaquarist - if the cuke is stressed enough to puke the tract out, it's unlikely the water conditions are okay for it to regen the tract. What was gross was the peppermints were all gaga over it trying to eat the stuff. I grabbed as much of it out as possible. Planning on a water change tonight although fish and inverts and condy anemone appear okay.
