Sea hare died - big clear bubble

Hi,
I recently obtained a sea hare from my LFS. They called it an "Atlantic sea hare" but even though it was feeding on algae and was very active, it dropped dead today, and on its side was a large, swollen, clear bubble that stood out from the rest of the darker skin. Does anyone have any idea what this might have been?

Sounds like he got stuck in a PW and the suction created the bubble in his skin. What say you?

Could have been? Got mine stuck twice in 4 months... the second time did him in.... did not notice right away... but will get another one next year.

That is possible,
but it wasn't attached to any PH when I found it... I would think that it would still be on the PH if that happened but instead it was on the SB away from any pumps. The only PH I have is inside my overflow box, so while it's possible, it's very unlikely that it was killed by the PH and then made it out of the overflow box
