Sea hare question

Our new sea hare is acting funny -- I think. I got him yesterday and last night he explored a little bit. Now he's just sitting on the ground, inactive. The current will even roll him onto his back and he doesn't seem to care. He's not dead, I can detect small movements. But is he dying? What's normal behavior for a sea hare? I have a tank full of hair algae for him to eat if he lives . . .

Thanks

I have a sea hare and sometimes he decides to be lazy and just sit in one spot for a while. But if you just got him and he's just sitting there, i'm not sure. just thought i'd let you know what mine does

you'll know if its dying, It'll prolly ink itself (dark purple gooey liquid) Its just new and somewhat stressed out i'd give it time..... How long did you take to mix it in?

Update: He looks worse to me. He's laying sideways on the sand, just bobbing around with the current a little. His underside looks like it's blistering or swelling. Every once in a while he'll move his head a tiny bit or his body will compress and expand, like he's "breathing." He's toast, right? No inking yet.

Acclimation: floating for 15 minutes, then a scoop (one-third cup) of tank water into his bag every 15 minutes for an hour.

I'd worry about tank alkalinity with a reaction like this. May be too high.

Also I'm seeing "Eheim" in your equipment list. A filter in the system can cause nitrate and ammonia to rise. Any ammonia would be a real problem.
