Sea Hare

Can any one suggest where i could find a sea hare and which ones are the most aggressive and hardy to keep. I recently purchased a dobi and he wouldnt touch the hair alge that i have and croaked 2 days later...

Winter isn't the best time to purchase sea hares, as they are often collected when they are in shallow breeding aggregations, and are often nearing the end of their life.

People have different experiences with sea hares as far as eating hair algae. Some species are a bit more cosmopolitan in their preferences than others. Dolabella auricularia is one species that eats a variety of algae in the wild.

i personally have never had luck keeping any form of sea hare myself. always wanted to but they disapeer after about a week never to be seen agian.

make sure to cover all power heads and pumps if you do get one.

Dolabella is what i just purchased he lasted 2 days didnt eat a thing, and of course the seller wont reply ... just have a hair algae issue that i just cant seem to control...
Thanks for the head up
