Sea of Marvels Open Yet?

Anyone down in Coralville know if SOM is open yet. Back in Jan I was down to his place and i think he said the opener would be March 8. Or Mar Aaae as I heard it. When it opens it will be by far the best looking fish store i have ever been to. The outside drawing i saw looked like a freeken Dr Office. If anyone has been there lately, direction would also be good for some of us out of towners.

his old store was still open last week. He had a nice looking copperbanded butterfly that I almost brought home.

They open today at noon there new number is 319-665-2277. I know its north liberty right of the interstate, big blue building behind the gas station at the north liberty exit. Sorry dont have there official address, but we are going there today will let you know.

I got see it when they were setting tanks up. It's an awesome facility. He has quadrupled at least the amount of tanks he used to have. I'm going to miss him being down the street from me. I got spoiled.

I just talked to the owner. No grand opening until May or later. Does this mean he's gonna take that long to get fully stocked?

You should feel spoiled having a decent LFS within 40 miles of you!

He's open! He has lots of NEW livestock and it looks amazing in there. The place is easily 5 times larger and looks like a real "marvel". About 50% of the tanks are still empty, but it sounds like he still needs to move all the stock from the old store over yet.

This place is going to be a mecca for reef and saltwater tank enthusiasts. What an amazing place!

Anybody else see the 15+" Emporer he had over in the old store, his kids said he is putting it in a 600g in the new store.

We stopped in there tonight to check it out. The new store is VERY nice! I can't wait to see what it looks like when they're finished setting up! I'm hoping he'll stock more corals now that he's got so much room!

Ya, the store is going to be great! I talked to him about what the biggest problem has been so far and it was so obvious I overlooked it...water! Right now he only has the ability to make 300 gal of water a day. Sure for you and me that's overkill, but not at this store!
