I plan on acquring a 7foot 208 gallon system, gonna use 2 panworld 50-px-x as returns. I would like to run them through 2 sea swirls, but how reliable are these things?

I've have two 3/4" inch sea-swirls for 3 years and no problem.

One issue that they caution you on is if you are using MH lighting and it is too close to the sea swirl and melts the case it voids the warranty.

The other issues is that they are pretty big and may interfere with your lighting system. I use a PC on my 175 and if the lighting fixture was any deeper it would not fit with the sea swirls.

Cory,

Rather than running both pumps as returns, why not use one of them for a Closed Loop and reduce your sump and overflow rates. You will pick up better contact time in your sump and reduce the risk of microbubbles and a loud overflow.

As for the SeaSwirls, we had one on our 75g for a closed loop and it was! Be sure to size you run can handle the flow rate.
