I have a question for someone a little more knowledgeable than me. I have a birds nest coral that looks like its being eaten. But the only thing that I can see on it at night is a black long spine urchin on it. Has anyone ever heard of an urchin feeding on corals in a tank?
There are actually only a few completely reef safe sea urchins and i'm afraid the diadema sp isn't one of them. They are normally better when there is a large amount of food available, so it could mean you need to supplement its diet.
