So I have hade a seabe for a while now and I recently aquired a tomato clown, the clown went imedately to the nem, does this mean it came from a place where it was joined with another nem? Is it possible for a nem to reject a clown fish in general?

It is possible to have no interaction between anemone and clown. It does not necessarily mean it came from a place that has one either. Some host right away, others take a looonnnggg time

Thank you bud. They are an overweight rednose, and brindle mix. Best dogs I have ever had. Blues are great looking I might add

Tomato clowns are not very picky when it comes anemones. They will accept almost anything. Most of the problems with clowns accepting anemones is with ocellaris and percula clowns. They tend to be the picky ones.

If it is a wild caught clown, it definitely came from a place with where is was hosted by another anemone, but that has nothing to do with why it went right into yours.
