Seachem Flourish clouding water

I started dosing my tank with Seachem Flourish Iron supplement to aid in cheato growth. i have used it twice so far and both times it totally clouded up my water. Does anyone have any ideas as to what may be causing this?
i am running GFO and carbon, could it be not mixing well with one?

That product seems to be based on ferrous gluconate. The gluconate is a carbon source, and might be fueling a bacterial or cyanobacterial bloom. I'd find another supplement. Kent worked well enough for me.

i used one capful (5 ml) for 45 gallons of water

the cloudiness occurs within a couple minutes of dosing and lasts for a few hours

FWIW, I dose Randy's formula, which is also ferrous gluconate. Randy's formula is about 1/2 the concentration as the SeaChem Flourish Iron. I have been dosing about 5 ml. in 145 gallon of water. You are dosing about 6X what I dose. I get pretty good results with what I am dosing. I would try about 1 ml. next time or switch products as Bertoni has suggested. :)
