Seachem marine vs reef

Is there any difference in Seachem Marine vs Seachem Reef salt? Except for marketing ;-)

I accidentally ordered wrong one.

I think one has more "reef building" compounds, calcium, alkalinity, those sorts of things.

I think the Marine has a declorinator in it as well. Similer to IO and Reef Crystals. Not a big deal.

Yah, Marine is meant for a fish only or a softy tank. It believe it has a declorinator in it as FO people can use tap water. The reef one, assumes you are using RO water, so no declorinator. Has more CA/Alk too since the RO tends to strip that from the salt water. Very similar to IO/RC. You can use either one for both purposes as they are 90% the same. Many people running reefs use IO to save the few bucks RC cost with no problem.

i usually get the REEF seachem.. i think it's preference, but i think the others are right...

i don't know too many people who put tap water into their tank, hence why the dechlorinator isnt' that big of a deal...

but have you noticed they put a tinee winee bit of copper in their salts?

isn't it an odd thing, considering there's probably plenty of copper going around, anyway? (i.e. LFS treatments residual when you throw out their water and acclimate with your own.. some tiniiii bit of copper probably still gets into your tank...)

Copper...most people have copper water lines (except for my stupid ancient house with galvanized pipes! Bah!)

But we mostly use Ro/Di.
