Seachem MatrixCarbon

I guess most people haven't tried it. I've been using it for about a week, and I could swear my water has never been clearer. But, it could be in my head.

I used it for about a year before switching to BRS large particle lignite. I don't notice a difference between the two besides appearance and price.

I've been using brs carbon for years. It's probably my imagination, but my tank does seem clearer with the matrix.
I wish randy was still here. I bet he could explain why I'm imagining my tank being clearer.

Used for a while, and didnt notice anything at all. Just stopped using it and still have some in my cabinet. To be honest the only carbon that clearly makes a difference to my eyes is Rox.08. That is the grand daddy of carbons

Yes I remember reading that thread when looking for carbon. I used Rox.08 and it is not only efficient for water clarity purposes, but it also can be dangerous stripping too much too fast. I researched matrix because the lfs carried it, but wasnt impressed at all with the result I i got compared to others.
I ditched carbon in my full sps tank, and cant tell the difference in color or growth vs. before

Matrix is a very good Carbon. TLF Hydro Carbon 2 is another excellent carbon. Another Carbon that I have been using and am quite surprised by is the Fluval Carbon. I have found it to be very good and cost wise hard to beat.
