seachem stability and live rock cycle

I am cycling some rocks, completely dead after bleach and acid baths. Ammonia 2 ppm and nitrate 0 nitrite 0 for a couple weeks now. They are in a bin with a pump and heater. I don't want to add any live rock since I don't want to risk any unwanted hitch hikers. Would adding seachem stability help to speed things up? Im sure it's no miracle but I don't really want to wait another month to be done. Any other products that might help?

It may help speed things up, yes. It is at least theoretically possible (unlike a surprising number of hobby products), but whether it actually works as claimed, I do not know.

I use Seachem Stability to "cycle" my QT. It does add the needed bacteria for taking care of ammonia. Never seen any ammonia after adding fish and adding Stability.
Just follow the directions.

Ok I picked up a bottle. But before I add I just want to make sure there is no negatives to it. Would this be a false cycle making the rocks appear ready or are they really ready?

Well, that depends on how it works. If the bacteria it supplies just die off fairly quickly, then the tank might not have much in the way of ammonia-processing capacity. On the other hand, the tank might be fine.

thanks, I guess I'll give it a try. I'll dose it per instructions, then after that I'll let the cycle run for an extra week or so in the bin to see if anything changes, then into the tank
