SeaClone 100???

It usually gets very poor reviews. It works better in a sump than hang on. I had one on my 40g for over a year and just replaced it with the Coralife Superskimmer 65 earlier this week. I can tell already that the Coralife is a MUCH better skimmer.
That said, if it's for a small tank and you're going to keep stuff that doesn't need super clean water (softies, mushrooms, zoanthids, etc.) the Seaclone might be adequate.

for the price though, the seaclone runs around 85-100 bucks, the super skimmer runs from 90-110. Shell out the extra and get the super skimmer. Or if you have a sump, go with the ASM mini G.... around 120 beans.

This is one piece of equipment you don't want to skimp on. Fork out the dough for a nice skimmer and you won't be sorry.

Yeah i hear that there are some mods that will make them function better. But the super skimmer 65 is really worth the money, very impressive.

I have a seaclone and it does work, but i agree with you guys it is not great. But I got it for free and dont really feel like shelling out the money to get a different one when this works, had i paid for it i would have bought a different one.

Seaclone is rubbish. Had to reseal with silicone the broken seal at the bottom of the intake tube every time I cleaned it. Had to break the seal just to Get to the intake tube. Just get anything else. Seaclone---garbage.

I had one on a 55 set up. Worked OK for me. But I had a very light bio load, very few fish.
I now use it as a reactor for charcoal on my 125. However, there are better skimmers out there, and well worth the money.

it's not that impressive at all. As a hang on I had to do all kinds of stuff just to get it to function. When in a sump it's not too bad. But if you have a sump... chances are you should not skimp on this peice of equipment.

I ponied up for a Bullet XL-2... its awesome. (mwuahahahaha)

The seaclone is terrible, it's like the kia of protien skimmers. Go with a good quality skimmer, the coralifes aren't great, but they are far, far better than a seaclone. This is one area that spending a little more money will reap great rewards for your reef. Hope this helps.
Mike.
