Ok here is the pair before mating. She seems to get especially colorful and playful at this time.
You may notice her ovipositor and his big black pouch.
I moved them into this hatchery a couple days after being born.
It is a 5 gallon tank and those containers are 4.25 inches across. They were 2-3 mm in size at this time. Air bubbles keep them moving in a nice circular current.
Day 5. ~ 50% mortality. 24 remain but the rate of loss is slowing. Feed rotis first 3 days and now enrinched baby brine. The green phyto helps keep waste down
