Seahorse rests under rocks!

I have had 2 erectus seahorses since last justly in a 30 gallon cube, my water parameters are good. Starting about a month or so ago, one of them spends his time creaping into gaps in the rockery. I think it's a he, he is eating with every feed. Why is he doing this and is it healthy? The 2nd seahorse acts totally normal, and no aggression. She has a bunch of ciri on her head and body.

I have 5 of the Erectus, 3 of them will lay on their sides under the rocks...ive seen them do this alot. Im pretty sure they are feeding on pods.
