Seahorse tank flow options?

Hi everyone...
I am looking to set up my 60gal. for a pair of horses(Captive bred). I dont have them yet, a LFS and also the supplying breeder said there will be some avail. next week. I have a question about adding a little more flow to my tank. Here is a link (if this works) to a thread with pics of my tank.

On one side I have an aquaclear 110 for flow but the other side with my skimmer is real weak/no flow. I also have a finger leather and a red tree sponge that I dont think is pictured. I will also be purchasing at least 1 gorgonia soon also. I would like (and I think the new additions would like) a little more flow on the skimmer side. I was kinda thinking of something like a koralia nano or something small like that. Also what placement would you recommend for a powerhead??

Also any comments, critisism, or suggestions would be appreciated!
Thanks!

I'm in the same boat I'm getting some barbouri seahorses hopefully coming up in september
I'm getting a tree sponge and hopefully a gorgonia or two..
are you going to get a photosynthetic gorg?
I know I'm thinking of getting a spray bar just for steady even flow just an idea.

Rather than a koralia nano, I like the maxijet or aquaclear powerheads. You can put the covers that they supply with them over the intake so the horses do not get their tails stuck or chopped off. Although it is a good powerhead, I feel the koralia is too dangerous for a seahorse tank (unless you cover it which leads to extra cleaning). I wouls also suggest putting an artificial hitch in with your horses. If they only have the live coral to hitch on to it will suffer. The gorgonians are beautiful in a seahorse tank but normally suffer do to the hitching... Hope that helps..

IDK about what kind of gorg yet....I've been just buying my stuff from a LFS...I may go online for this though. It would be easier to go full photo, but since I gotta turn everything off and spend time feeding the horses I guess it doesnt matter much.

Thanks for the input on powerhead Peka...I didnt think of it that way. Again, one of the LFS has their horses in with a koralia 2 and they even hitch to it with seemingly no problems. The LFS actually recommended I get a koralia.

I put the black plastic clips that you would use for heaters around the tank at different levels and my 2 horses like to hitch unto them. They like to take naps on them so it must be ok. I was afraid to put in LR because of hydroids and wanted to give them something. I had artificifal plants in but they tend to look messy, took out. added a base rock that was in my 50 for months and pretty sure it is clean. I want to replace the black holders for the clear kind. Its cool when they come to sit in front of you so they can be watched better. I think one is a real show off. hope this helps.
