Seahorse Tank

Hi,

I am getting ready to start a species specific tank, designed specifically sea-horses. I have a chiller already and set power compact lights. I am planning on planting the tank with tidal grasses, and slow flow. I am thinking about building the tank 24x20x30...

Curious what else everyone else thinks should be in here?

Well, that could certainly be an interesting thread as every one has their own ideas on what a tank set up should be like.
Perhaps it would be best to go to the bottom of this forum and change the "show threads" to include all in the last year, and then peruse the postings in it for applicable topics.
You could also pick on specific subject matter and use the search feature to pull up threads on those subjects.
I like the first method for the fact you come across things you wouldn't have plugged in the search box and that adds to your knowledge base.
The subjects that matter most to me personally would be using only captive bred seahorses, and, being sure that any added inhabitants in the future come from the same breeder.
Also, I'm attempting to raise Reidi fry and that has been extremely challenging for me.
I go with simplicity for economic reasons, with my seahorse tanks being basically bare bottom Berlin method filtration. I would like to have sumps with them but at this time it is not feasable, but the larger planned tank for them already has it's own sump.

You could try some gorgs, not sure that fits in that zone. You could also plant some bigger mangroves if you can get some that would reach the top to start..

BTW ever go to the Learning Express in southlake?
