I haven't used a filter socket, so I'm not the best source, but Amazon lists some smaller 5 micron socks and some 5 micron media fabric sheets. I don't know where you are, but Google turned up some 5 micron filter socks.

Sorry, I didn't mean to confuse you. The filter socks are used for medical purposes...some have bought the socks sold at Aquatic Eco-Systems...

Check BIODEISEL sites they have alot of 10/1 and .5 micron bags.
Put a 10 inside a 1 it works better.
I like to triple up my bags....100/10/1

Go to his web instead of ebay and you can order 100/10/1
bags together and get the bulk discount.
You just put the 100 inside the 10 then inside the 1 this 3 bag
setup will catch any LC and still stay good for a good bit.
Running the drip into a reactor or mixing chamber then into the
3 bag setup is the best method it works so well that i cant
figure out why there are not reactor made just for this technique.
GFO is so high an LC is so cheap its the way tio go.

You can easily cut the rings out.
I dont wash them so i dont care what
the rings are.

Yea I was thinking of cutting them out carefully with a razor blade and then just hanging the sock by the strap on it, just didn't know how well that would work.

I guess I do have 5, I can try it with 1 and see how it works.

Cause I got pukani, so I'll probably be dealing with phosphate for some time and will need to wash and reuse them.

I'm not sure if the "for pools" version is the commercial relabled or the CR version.

The CR version is just a 1/3 strength version of the commercial.
You can look at the bottle, if it says it removes 3,000 ppb per quart, it is the CR version. If it says it removes 9,000 ppb per quart it is the commercial version.
