SeaLife possible order

Okay, it has been talked about a couple of times on another thread so I thought I would start this thread as well so that the other one would not get "hi-jacked".

A few of us have ordered from this site in the past and have had good luck. Not to take away from the other thread (ReefScience order), because I think I would like to order from there as well.

The items I got from Sea life were nice. I looked on this site this morning and found a couple of things I would like to get if others are going to order from there as well, thus dropping the shipping cost down.

So, for those that are interested, post here.

I'm interested! Just a note though, he ONLY takes Paypal, checks, or money orders; so for the purpose of putting together a group order you will need to have Paypal, or give someone cash and have them order for you.

Btw, are you volunteering to head this up Rick?

PS: Here's a link to SeaLife for anyone that doesn't know where to find them: http://sealifeinc.net/catalog/index.php

I would like to get in on this and would be happy to take care of ordering etc. However, I need to wait until school is out for me (after June the 4th) so that I can be home when everything is delivered. I will be glad to buy with my paypal if I have cash in advance of placing the order. Let me know what ya'll think.

I can do this as well. My schedule is pretty flexible, so delivery won't be an issue. Why don't everyone post what they are looking at getting and we will see how many we have and look at placing the order maybe Monday or Tuesday?? Sound good??

I'd like to get this order placed on Monday for a hopeful delivery either Wednesday or Thursday. Let's get the order setup and close to being finalized and we will go from there.

If for some reason we cannot come up with an order by then I think I'll drop it. I don't want to drag this out and out. Hopefully, we can get this together. I think it will be a good experience!!

Just as an FYI gang, if my memory serves me correctly, I believe that Ken only ships on Tuesday (dives and collects specimens for the orders on Mondays and Tuesdays) so do get your orders in early.

FYI, at the bottom of the page it states:

Vacation Schedule
Sea Life will be closed from May 9th through May 19th. Orders placed during our vacation closure will ship the following Monday or Tuesday (May 21st or 22nd).
Our webmaster will be available to monitor emails sent through the site address but Ken will be off-line for the entire ten days.

Also, I emailed him to see if he had something, and he said that he is going to be getting an order tomorrow (Sunday). He said he will update his website by Monday if he gets anything that isn't already on the website.

Nah...I am going to sit this one out.

I am tempted...but like I said to you earlier today...I just want to sit back and watch stuff in my tank grow...and I am sticking too it :-)

Rick, I have my list together, unless he adds something new. I feel like a kid in a candy store lol I will send you a pm on Monday with my list after I check that nothing new is on the website.

I was thinking about how to get the $$ for the order and I think the simplest would be via PayPal. That would be the quickest and probably the easiest for most. My only request is for those that do it to add whatever the PayPal fees might be. I don't think it is much, something like 2%. This way I don't end up having to make up that amount when I go to pay for the order. There is a way he mentions about adding to an order, but I would rather avoid all of us trying to do this and the possibility of someone missing out; I would rather just submit the order all together and get it paid for.

Make sense?? It is early and I'm still working on that first cup of coffee!! lol

Can I get some of your input. Here are the things I am considering ordering..... what do you think?

Lettuce Sea Slug
Yellowhead Jawfish
Nano Pencil Urchin
Royal Gramma
Flourescent Green Ricordea
Nano Red Brittle Star
Nano Pin Cushion Urchin

Any thoughts anyone has on those items would be appreciate. My tank now has a tail spot blenny, a coral beauty angel, a cleaner shimp and a variety of soft corals as well as snails and crabs. It is a 29 gallon.

My question would be how much algae do you have in the tank?
You have two urchins and a slug listed. This would require lots of algae/food to support the urchins and the slug.
IMO choose one of the urchins to add to the tank.

As for the rest, I think everything would get along. Just have to watch the coral beauty not to be the boss of the gramma and jawfish.

When are you looking to order?
I would like to get in on the order, but I will be out of country until June 4.
