Seashells with Boring sponge larvae damage as DLR

Hello. Several quick questions, but first an outline. I have a fowler tank that is well established, though have had my share of experiences over the years, have approx 2-3 inch of sand/gravel that have been in the tank for several years, one piece of live rock that's been in tank for 6 months or so, only three damsels at the moment. Wanting to add dlr to the mix and see where it takes us, have done lots of reading up on the process, think I've got a fare understanding. I've got ancient coral dug up from dredge sites I've had for years, but stored them in buckets outdoors and now some have light green fungus on them.

First question. Thoughts on to bleach or not to bleach before curing, obviously I can not see what's grown inside of coral, but scrubbed outside and removed from bucket to dry out in sunlight.

Second question and one I can't find any opinions on is regarding seashells with holes all throughout from boring sponge larvae. I live on the Atlantic coast line and have a seemingly endless supply of these shells washed up on beach. Easy to get, very porous, endless design potential and free. This beach has also been nourished so shells could be very old, they don't show any signs of larvae still active and no sponge/fungus/alge growth of any kind present. Anything I've missed that I should concern myself with? All thoughts, opinions and questions welcomed.
