Donââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢t miss SEASLââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢s Spring Frag Fest!!
Our annual Frag Fest will take place May 13th at 10:00am
500 Northwest Plaza - 3rd Floor - St. Ann, MO
The meeting will be held in an empty office space inside the tall black tower at Northwest Plaza. Entry is outside the mall on the southeast side of the plaza. There is ample parking available in front of the building. Let the guard know you are there for the SEASL event.
Our annual frag event is the perfect time to pick up new goodies or make a little extra room in your tank. All livestock items are welcome ââ"šÂ¬Ã¢â‚¬Å“ frags, fish, inverts, macro, whatever live items you have to sell or trade!
We will start a separate thread on Reef Central for everyone to list what they plan to bring. Check back often to see if your dream coral or fish will be making an appearance.
We are changing up the format this year and offering multiple ways for everyone to participate. This yearââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢s event will include:
Rob Your Neighbor
Drop your frag into the Rob Your Neighbor bucket and youââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢ll take home a ââ"šÂ¬Ã…"œsurpriseââ"šÂ¬Ã‚ frag in its place!
When we call your name, you can either choose a random frag from the bucket, or steal one from another participant. You may draw a ricordia and walk away with an SPS in this game of chance!
ââ"šÂ¬Ã…"œFree to a good homeââ"šÂ¬Ã‚ table
Have more xenia than you know what to do with? Are your green star polyps taking over?
Help a fellow reefer and leave a few freebies on this table. Your neglectorinos are sure to find a great home!
Ticketed Raffle
If you want to sell a frag, but you donââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢t have a set price in mind, put it on the raffle table.
Weââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢ll sell tickets for $1 each and youââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢ll keep all the money that was entered on your frag.
Fixed Price Raffle
If you want to sell your frag for a set price, enter it in the fixed price raffle. Interested buyers will take a number. Weââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢ll draw a ââ"šÂ¬Ã…"œwinnerââ"šÂ¬Ã‚ who will pay your posted price. If we draw your number but youââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢re either full of frags or out of cash, just let us know and weââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢ll draw another number!
Traditional Swap-O-Rama
This is where the action is. Want to trade those rics for some zoos? Or maybe youââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢re looking to trade your Fire Shrimp for a clownfish? This area is for you! All frag-for-frag trades can be wheeled and dealed in the Swap-O-Rama.
50/50 Cash Game
This is one of our favorites! Buy tickets for $1 each. If you we draw your number, half the pot goes to help the club and the other half goes in your pocket!
Oh, and did someone mention pizza?!? Weââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢ll have plenty of pizza available for all attendees.
This is sure to be our best Frag Event yet so you donââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢t want to miss out!
Admission will be $5.00 for non-members to help cover our costs. As always, there is no admission charge for SEASL members or anyone purchasing a membership at the meeting.
Please save your dry goods for the 50/50 auction. We will have some saltwater and extra bags on hand in case of any emergencies, but we ask everyone to double bag their items.
