sebae help!!

I had purchased a large sebae last week. For the last 7 days he was opened up very nicely. When I came home today,I noticedhe was considerable smaller(shrunk) in size.I wasn't very alarmed t this sight until I had looked at the foot and it has small bubbles and small green "squigly tails" protruding from it.Anyone know what this is?I'll do my best to try and get some pics soon.In the meantime can anyone advise? Thanx inadvance!!

Not trying to take over your thread but I am having a very similar if not the same problem. Purchased a Sebae a few weeks ago and for the first few days he looked fine with where I placed him and even ate the food I gave him. He has since been blown out of the holes that I place him in and ends up shoved under a rock or in a corner upside down every time I try to move him back into a decent position. Should I just leave him be wherever the current pushes him or try to reposition him? It's definitely the current moving him and not himself. Mine appears to occasionally have some kind of strings coming from the foot as well. Whenever he is in one of these awkward positions he is all shrunken up and doesn't appear to be eating either. Any suggestions??

I have had problems in the past also and have noticed
they are not used to the lighting or the Alk in the water.
You need almost perfect Alk to maintain anemones for
a long time.

and what should that be and how would I adjust it? I don't normally test for Alk.

If you tank is small it might be easier to just buy a 2 part solution that adds calcium and alkalinity in a balanced ratio. There are many brands, Bionic or Kent Tech CB both have their 2 part brands. Keep in mind that the above solution will maintain Ca and Alk, to boost either of the two you may want to use Kent Turbo Calcium or Kent Super Buffer.

The keeping the alk high will help prevent changes in pH. It is best to dose this during the off cycle of your lights, that is when your pH is at its lowest.
