Sebae is hosting my Ocellaris!

I'm just excited and want to post this for others to read while researching the subject.

I have waited 6 long months for this. I've owned the clown for 2+ years. The Sebae was a rescue attempt from a lfs. He was entirely bleached, 6" diameter and in bad shape. After 2 weeks he finally took my offered food (shrimp, silversides)and has been doing great ever since. He is about 14" diameter now. Tank is a 90g acrylic 20" deep with a 216 watt Tek hood. The Sabae is on the bottom and seems to still get plenty of light and never relocates.

My clown just seems so happy now! It all seems so natural.

Now if I can get some colorful cheap softies that can handle being close to my teks ...all would be good:)

Funny thing is I just moved 2 false percs to a 30G tank after waiting 4 months for them to be hosted by my sebae without luck. I replaced them with 2 tiny tomatoe clowns and now on day 2 I awoke this AM to find them happily being hosted by the sebae. My sebae also was bleached when I first got it and is now a nice brown with green undertones. Eats like a pig and has grown to about 14" diameter under T5 lighting.

I thought about buying a clarkii to keep my Sebae happy but I didn't want any cage matches. My ocellaris is extremely passive.
Whenever I purchase something I always second guess whether or not I made the right decision and it pushes me to give them the best care I can. When things fall in place... its a great feeling.

Carlab,
Those things love to eat don't they...and seem to grow like weeds when fed. Mine has his foot burried up against rock work
so it looks like an open taco:). I bet if he was sprawled across the sand he would be 18" across. Mine is brown/pink with purple tips.

amuruges,
I'm running ati bulbs that came with the hood.
2 blue+ 1 aquablue and 1 sun.
Also got 2 free GE 6500's (sun) but its a shame because I
might go 2 blue+ and 2 aquablues for a different look.
I feel the 6500 is a contributor to algae since it favors lower temp? Along with excess nutrients. I use DI water but my DI resin exhausts way too fast and I revert to half DI half carbon filtered tap water.
