Second Club Meeting

No problem Alex, you are always welcome to come down here whenever you have the time. The thing with the swap is the cost to attend, if we just want to meet afterwards at like 4:30 or 5 there should be no cost, but no swap other than what our members might bring for ourselves to share.
Let me know what everyone wants to do that are planning on coming that day. I will be there all day, so will a couple others I'm sure. Have a good one everybody.

Hi all.

I tend to spend all of my time on hear reading but never posting. Sort of that head down mouth shut approach. With the upcoming frag swap in our backyard, I thought I would put a shout out to say Hi, probe for information and look for some easy care frags forsale to bump my tank out of the fish mostly tank into coral..... my intitial intent. I'd be looking for mostly softies at this point. mushrooms, xenia..... I know this may be a mistake, but id like to get some pulsing. I really love the zoas too. just seem that mine hit my tank looking great and then color change on me. Who knows...

I will be attending the swap at TFP with my daughter and hope to pick up a few things.
 
Welcome aboard Tampico 96... I'm sure myself and quite a few more of us can help you out, just let us know what all you might be looking for in-particular. I have shrooms of different colors, and loads of Colt or Kenya tree corals if your interested :-)

Love Mushrooms Have some hairies with green base and brown tips.... Would love red or blue. Anything different.

Colt would be good too. (could buy a frag or 2 from you at the meet if you have them.)


Think I am staying in the softie world so far. Easy care as of now. Quick grower would be great.

The swap is on my On-call weekend. I plan to attend, but my luck, I will get called way. I live close to TFP, less than 5 miles. so I may pop in and out during the swap.
 
Tampico96, the Colt's are free and a shroom or two, I am not sure I'll make to the frag swap or not :-( so just pm me if you are interested... :-)

I just stopped into TFP tonight. Remodel looks to still be moving forward. They had a ton of xenia in there tonight. Did not buy any. Did get a betta that the daughter wanted. Hers jumped ship.

I will try to post some pics of my tank build here in the forum if all are interested. It was built on a super shoe string budget.

Is there a web site for this club? link in the description is broken. I would love to join. Thought it was odd that there was not a club down here for so long.

Will try to post some pics in a new thread. May or maynot have time tomorrow depending on what this weather does in the harrisburg area.

Lancaster area is turning to ice as we speak.
 
Meh, our winters have been SO weak lately. We need hammered by another 3' NorEaster in the worst way. Heck, it couldn't even put down a respectable icing last night. Seems like you always have to take their forecast, and dumb it down a notch to know what we're really gonna get.

Looks like they're still getting a bit of a mix up there w/this storm, but hopefully the actual mountain elevation will squeeze out a bit more snow for you, enjoy :)

The frag meet at TFP is that a swap or a place to buy or both? At Bobbys I felt bad that I did not have anything to really offer as I have a small tank and am trying to fill it. By the way all the frags I received are doing well and starting to see some nice growth, thanks again to all. I do have some dry goods that I would be willing to part with if anyone is interested. I have a electronic 175watt ballast w/ hqi socket and reflector and a assortment of bulbs for it. I have 2 koraline "2's" and 2 "4's". I have built a pretty cool closed loop with the scwd that Bobby gave me. Has 3 outlets per side of the scwd that works great. Pump had to be huge and is not near as efficient as the koralines but what is more wattage right??:rolleyes:

Anyway I live in a townhouse so would have to wait till nicer weather to have a meet at my house but am up for it though. Till then I will see most of you at the meet at TFP, is there anything you have to do or is it just "show up"?

Yeh getting frustrated with the constant forcast of snow and getting nothing but a bunch of worthless salt on the roads. If its going to be cold and gray thourghout the winter then lets have damn snow too go with it!!

Not sure if i missed it but was there a time and place @ TFP that everybody from this club plan to meet? I will not know faces and with 70 people already signed up how is anybody going to know anybody.

You have a good point, I would recognize faces, however with all the people and the diferences in time maybe we all could cordinate a time to meet. Would be kind of like a field trip...remember back in the day:p
