I have a Euroreef skimmer that has a blown Sedra 3500. Does anyone know if the replacement Sedra 3500 for the ASM is the exact same model (same fittings, etc.) as that for the ER? I need to order one quick, and I only found one for the ASM!

Back in February, the Sedra 3500 on my EuroReef died. Even though my EuroReef was registered, the best price they would give me was a 25% discount of the list price of $150. Thinking that price was ridiculous, I shopped around and found this:

Subject: Sedra 3500 with Needle Wheel Pump

Hi:

The Sedra 3500 on my Euroreef died and I'm looking for a complete
replacement. Would your $80 price include the magnet, impeller, etc?

What would be the cost of shipping to San Francisco? Do you have them in
stock?

Thanks,

Roy

Yes, it includes magnet, impeller, etc.. Everything you need. Shipping
is
$8.95. We have them in stock.

For $89, the pump and all the attachments arrived within a few days and it has been working flawlessly. I would buy from this vendor again.

Best of luck,

Roy

Not sure the 3500 is the same or not but for the 5000 model, the outlet is not the same. ASM pump has 1" outlet and ER has 3/4 outlet.

Thanks guys. I went on a 4 day vacation to return to my 29g tank full of dead coral  partly due to the sedra crapping out on me. Back to the drawing board...

You're telling me! I still have an ocellaris, some hermits, and a crocea clam that's still surviving. I hope at least they make it.
