Seeding dry rocks

i'd like to put some live rocks in my sump, pressuming that caroline algae could spread through the water circulation while leaving those harmful critters in the sump

is it possible?

thanks in advance for any words!

It would take a long time to do that unless you took a knife and scraped the coraline algae and let it spread through the system. To my knowledge; scraping, that is the quickest way to get it to spread around in that sort of situation.

To keep critters out of my tank when I rebuilt.. I dried out all my live rock in the sun. Then I put them back in the tank and seeded with just coraline scrapings.

I went from this..

thank u, guys

im really tired of pest fighting and thats my primary and ultimate purpose for using dry rocks

ive taken enough the webs and mucous from vermetid snails---whenever i saw them, i felt as if my tank were designed not for me but mr. spiderman instead
