Seeking Fish Recommendations

I'm looking for fish recommendations. I think there is room in my water column, but I'm not sure where to focus and research for extra "family members" to add to the list below.

DT is 180g with 150lbs dry rock, 5 lbs live rock, and 2" live sand bed. Sump is a 75g tank, with a 32g refugium chamber that has 5" DSB. Finally, I have 20g long QT. My fish list is below:

Currently in DT:
2 orange ocellaris clowns (Just completed TTM, in QT right now)
1 Orange Stripe Prawn Goby

Planned - in order of introduction
1 Flame Angel
1 Powder Blue Tang
1 Yellow Tang
1 Mandarin(once tank matures)

As I mentioned, I believe I have capacity for some other fish, but I'm not sure what to consider. It would be nice to TTM and QT some fish along with the Flame Angel and Tangs which will be introduced one at a time.

i've been lusting after a blue throat trigger for quite some time now. i think once i upgrade i will be getting one.

i'm also wanting a copper banded butterfly, but with my corals and clams, that could be a pricey experiment.

There are a thousand answers. Think about if you might want to add a splash of a certain color, or if you'd like a fish that occupies a certain section of the tank.

If I was running a tank that size and fowlr I would seriously look at the butterfly fish. I absolutely love them and there are so many different ones to choose from.

One day I'll do a large fowlr and that is all that will be in it, butterfly fish of all kinds.

I haven't seen a guide like that, but it would be great if it's out there somewhere. I like to browse liveaquaria and read the fish descriptions. At the least you can filter for tank size, reef compatibility, etc.

That's why it's great when others chime in on fish suggestions as they may have/had 1. It would be like the flight chart for disc in disc golf.

Keep it coming! To clarify, I'm going for a mixed reef.

A Genicanthus angel perhaps? They occupy the water column, and are among the safest of angelfish to be added to a tank.

Note on the tangs: You may want to consider adding both at once in order to prevent aggression.

Flame angels are hit and miss, mine is a hit for eating corals. He went crazy over a scoly that I recently purchased. Needless to say, the coral went back. I also have a copper banded butterfly that likes some LPS.

With a 180, your options are almost limitless.

Howeer, I would suggest going with all small (nothing bigger than a Wrasse) fish. Here's my reasoning: you're able to have more fish, which means more color, and more movement.

How about a trio of Lyretail Anthias?

Anthias would be a good choice. I like to use more little fish rather than a few larger fish. IMO, it looks more natural that way. One or two larger (Angels or Tangs) so that you can easily see them from across the room and to draw you to the tank, them a bunch of smaller fish to keep you interested once you are close by. In my 120 the largest is a Tomini Tang, and then a Flame Angel. A couple wrasses can be nice, but because they will eat nearly as many pods as a Mandarin will, they will easily outcompete it for food. I like to fill all areas of the tank, so I also have a YWG, a cleaner goby,and a couple Cardinals. My favorite fish is my Sailfin Blennie, who, bless his little soul, took up residence front and center in a small grouping of barnacle shells. A couple cleaner shrimp, maybe a serpant star or two, and you will have something everywhere you look.

if it were me I would definitely swap the yellow tang for a purple or gold rimmed
