What about it? I really wouldn't consider a 29g a nano...

When you think about it, a 30g tank is a very small tank. Ive read many peopel consider a 55g tank a nano tank.

I think it's a step up for Matt, isn't it? Looks like something you could set up very nice.

I think anything 30 and below is considered a nano. If the acrylic is scratched up, you can buff that out. Get yourself a good acrylic buff kit and put some elbow grease into that and you can make that spotless. Good luck!

my question isn't really whether or not it's a nano ... to me that doesn't matter.

i'm mainly curious if anyone has seen this tank before, if they know a manufacturer or model name. i have some time before i'll set this up, so i'll certainly buff it out.

thanks for the input so far. i've never had a tank with an enclosed acrylic hood like this one ... anyone have any ideas for metal halides in this (ie wattage or particular one)?

I posted in your other thread too.

Check out Aquatica in Tinley park, they do have them there. One set up on the counter.

As for a MH, I wouldnt use it with the top on. It will melt that.

US aquariums made a very simialr tank...you can find them running around the net still if you look hard enough, but that is a good price either way.
